The Garrison and MW Companies started out with a dream and desire to provide new construction, affordable rental housing development to rural areas in the Midwest and has grown into a multi-dimensional real estate development firm engaged in medium to large scale mixed-use development, adaptive re-use of historic structures, urban in-fill/TOD redevelopment, and luxury market rate housing in a 6-state area, including large cities in the Midwest and Mountain States.
In 1998, Garrison built a 16-unit apartment community in Chadron, Nebraska for affordable renters. Since then, Garrison has constructed and rehabbed over 1300 living units and has been involved in mixed use development in its 6-state area. Over $140,000,000 in asset value has been created. Garrison’s development staff is very knowledgeable and capable in combining numerous public and private sources of funds to make an affordable project viable and luxury, market rate TOD infill projects, by example, feasible. We have been successful in working with many communities that see the benefits of developing a quality, exceptionally designed community. And, where cities have a great need for affordable living and the projects economics allow it, we design an affordable component in our projects.
Our communities always keep the tenant’s living experience in the forefront. So many of the current projects underway include a full amenity package that includes, swimming pools, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, home theaters, cyber cafes, recreation rooms and fitness rooms. Package delivery systems are commonplace on the ground floor and fully integrated and skilled property management and maintenance professionals are on site every day to assist the tenant and prospective new tenants. Security is also a concern we take very seriously. We have projects with restaurant or entertainment uses in a nearby building or in the same building that provides a welcome opportunity for eat and play for our residents. Proximity to public transportation is a primary focus for our infill, urban developments, allowing easy and cheap access to work, eat and play in a given metro area.
We focus on environment friendly construction such as energy efficiency, water conservation features, and the use of recycled materials.
